Thumbs down ignition wire

anyone know the color of the ignition wire under the steering colum... i cant figure it out and running low on beer ... i also dont have my fuse box cover....

im trying to hook up an singal amplifier.

I wonder if the fusebox would be he same as a 98? I have a pic of my 98 that I took for another member - but Im thinking it will be different.

ok, heres a 98 fuse box cover. I would suspect yours has less circuits so this probably wont help you very much:

just grab a test light or multimeter and check which fuses have power on ignition. find one that does, splice into it, and send it to your amp

what is the signal amplifier for?

edit

like he said, find a fuse that has power when the ignition is on like a/c, windows, radio, wiper, etc.

if you have an aftermarket radio, and installed it using the aftermarket adapter harness, splice into the red power wire. it comes on with ignition. if the amplifier is for the stereo connect the remote wire to the blue wire coming off the aftermarket radio. it is a switched power wire.
