Upper Ball Joints on the 2wd 2nds gens, is there any way to get buy without replacing the WHOLE arm at $230 each?? I know the ball joint is welded in there, but wouldn't be hard to torch it out and weld a new one back in if I could find the correct sized one.

 

they should be rivited in not welded,i just changed mine a couple of months ago.i just drilled them out and bolted the new ones in.

 

Yep they should be rivited I just checked mine a week ago to find out they need to be replaced and they were rivited.

 

my 96 was just a press in. if it is welded maybe the hole was a little worn so they welded it to make it stay in. i tacked one of mine in when it kept coming out
