Default 6.9 wont crank!!!

I have an 86 ford f250 6.9 diesel and i've never had any problems with the truck except for today, i hooked it up to my trailer and went to start it and it wouldn't crank, the batteries aren't dead it just wouldn't do anything, i replaced the soleniod on the fender well and the ignition switch but it still won't crank, does anyone know what else it could be??i can start the truck by jumping the soleniod but not with the key.

yeah i checked all that and its all good, but i just figured out that the little red wire with the blue stripe doesn't have power when you turn the key to the crank position, wich should be the problem, but i don't have a blown fuse or anything i just can't figure out why it would randomly not have power because i had just drove the truck there and shut it off and then it wouldn't crank. any ideas anyone? and thanks agent 123 i will double check it.

yeah thats how i had to start it today i looked for a fuseable link on that wire and couldn't find one.....it just goes down into the main harness and then into the cab. i just don't get how it could of got a brake in it or something in 15 seconds ......i checked all my fuses in the fuse box but they are all good.....i guess i will check the wire again to try and find a fuse...there is one fuse in my fuse box that doesn't have power to it but the fuse is fine. thanks man

Do you have power to everything else, like lights or is the truck completely dead?

its an auto, thats the other thing i was thinking, because my exhaust runs right by it up to the turbo but i think i would have to take it off to get to the sensor. but none of the wires are burned they are all wraped and i cut it open and they all look ok, but i sure hope the switch isn't bad that would be a pain. thanks man

You could run a jumper across the wires from the NSS to see if it's the problem. I think the wires you want are the light blue/red wires.
