i have a 47rh tranny and JUST rebuilt but it runs around 230 degrees any help. im only ruinng the after market cooler in the front. and thatS the only one. i took the cooler off on the side of the motor because it leaked antifreeze

 

thats too hot.

 

in the owners manualof my 06 it says 180 is operating temp but i usually don't get over 170 or so dont no how that compares to your 47rh

 

yeh thats WAY to hot.... i have a extra deep tranny pan (magtech)... and i almost never get over 150... unless im towing or doin burnouts...

 

i rarely hit past 140 unless towing or city traffic

 

anything over 195 200 and you are burning the oil. check that gauge. Your tranny is not going to last

 

i run 190 drag racing!!!!! and that was with a stock cooler and a deep pan..... whoever did that trans is looking to do it again soon.... after 210 the clutch hate you and the fluid burns...

on the road with that set up i ran around 160..... Im going to be running cooler that that now too.... my trans right now will hold over 7 gallons of fluid.... i want it as cold as possible....
