i have an oil leak almost in the middle front of the engine,it is a little on the passenger side though.it seems to dump when i shut the truck off.i am going to degrease it and look but i was just wonderin if somebody could point me in the right direction first,thanks

 

Possibly front timing cover gasket, front crank seal, oil filter/bracket, turbocharger drain hose?

 

Might even be Killer Dowl Pin Problems also.

 

I bet if you take out your fan and look the crack will be right there under the fan. Or what happened to mine was some of the bolts vibrated loose a little bit and that made it leak. Is the belt sqweeking or is there oil all over the front of the motor.

 

there is oil on the front of the motor,but no sqweek.if i had dowel pin issues,would it not be making some kind of noise?

 

No it wouldn't make any noise. Also it could be the bolts fell out or the case.

 

You will have to get some of the oil off and get a big light and look really good if its the killer dowel pin you will see the crack. Mine cracked and the bolts vibrated loose.

 

where would the crack be?

 

Under the fan bracket in that area.

 

what about the sqeak noise? mine just started but it s not leaking bad.
