might consider the push rod/tappet cover. i've got one that was so bad that when i steam cleaned it it ended up with water in the oil. it had several problems also.

I had the same problem with the gear cover bolts backing out. Even re-tightening them only slowed the leak a bit. It leaked down the cover, hit the balancer, then slung oil all over the front of the motor and sway bar/crossmember.

I hate oil leaks its almost as bad a a fuel leak.
