Default 450-500 HP truck

so this is my end goal...i want a 450-500 hp truck and im just not sure what all is needed on the 6.0 to get to that level...i know an exhaust egr delete and head studs are a must...im sure a turbo is another must...but what all would it take to get to this level on an 06.

also will the trans and torque converter be able to handle these power levels safely or should they be swapped and or rebuilt...

p.s. this is something that will not happen over night but over a period of a year if not more

Well what are your plans for the truck? Still want to tow regularly? This shouldn't be a hard power level to reach.

Heck you could do an SCT, a fuel pump, (headstuds and EGR delete as supporting mods) and throw some nitrous on it. Then you can have your desired HP with ease for track day/sled pulling or whatever, then keep it some what reliably stock with just the tuner for every day driving. That'd be relatively inexpensive.

If you wanted fuel only, I'd do some 155cc injectors, and a 62mm turbo. The stock transmission should hold up fairly well with good tuning and responsible driving.

155s and a good turbo. I'd call around and ask some of the builders their opinions. Try Eric @ innovative, and also Doug @ GoGo. I'm not too familiar with the site sponors here, but I'm sure there are some here that can help as well.

You could run 155's with the stock turbo, but heavy hauling would probably be a bad idea.

You're going to want a fuel pump for sure to push fuel to those injectors. I'd run the AirdogII since it's already regulated.

62/70 would be my best guess. Call Innovative or GoGo see what they recommend.

kool...i guess if im gunna try to push 450-500 i should also run a snow performance kit to keep the EGTs down...
so a list of needs would be
airdog
155 injectors
turbo
gauges
snow performance kit
headstuds
egr delete

Snow/ meth wouldn't hurt at all. I'd just use mostly water though for EGT purposes. Some will tell you a fuel system, some say they're a waste. Make sure you get a fuel pressure gauge and that will tell you if you need to upgrade further.
