Default straight exhaust

Hey I'ma start off with and say i don't know much about fords. I'ma cummins guy. well I've been having alot of my friends lately asking bout straight exhaust on their 6.0's and how to get more power out of them. I know how much the guys in the 12v section have helped me out and I was hoping that ya'll would do the same for me. I've been reading on the threads and there's been alot of talk about EGR's. I know what they do and all but I'm not sure what you are supposed to do to these. And do you have to buy a delete if you buy the 4" exhaust. Or can you just replace it and not have to worry. I'd greatly appreciate your help on this. Zach West.

I still have my EGR with my 4" exhaust on and i dont have any problems. I have an SCT programmer with custom tunes that turns off the EGR flow but there is always still limited flow. Best thing to do is to delete it but if your budget is not wide, you'll be fine with a 4" exhaust and the EGR still on

You can get a muffler delete and cat delete pipe together for under $100 for the stock exhaust.

There are a handful of companies that sell 4" turbo backs for around $265 and 5" turbo backs for $295 last I checked.

Stock intake is fine.

EGR delete kit is a great idea.

SCT with custom tunes will be the best investment as far as power goes.

Gauges would be a great idea too.
