I been hearing from a few people that the 5.9L cummins rattles so much it will rattle some parts apart. I got just over 96,000 miles on the girl and i havent noticed anything yet is there anything i should be concerned about.

 

yeah...talking to stroke and durmax owners about your truck......these things get over 500K if they have regular maintenance done to them.

 

They are called Cummaparts for a reason.


That reason: It's something cute to say has no bearing on reality.

 

So you havent had any problem with anything like this?

 

Mine has 400,000 miles on, the first 300,000 spent as a service truck and a fifth wheel hauler, the last 100,000 being hotrodded with twice as much horsepower as stock. Blow by and oil consumption is getting noticeable, but it's got another 100,000 in it.

 

I have 250K on mine.....no issues with the engine whatsoever....
