Default banks IQ w/ six gun

simple put tell me more...

im looking at getting a new programmer for my 06 and right now ive been looking at the bullydog GT tuner and the SCT extreme touch (a bit expensive for me) but was reading in diesel power and diesel world about banks IQ w/ sixgun. i dont know anyone that is running this system or even a 6gun and wanted to see if i could get some help comparing the 3 (bullydog GT SCT extreme touch and banks IQ w/ 6gun)

as a side note i am looking for a medium power gain (50-80 hp) and better fuel mileage

Dont waste your money. SCT with custom tunes is the only way to go. Just do some quick searching on here and some of the powerstroke forums and you will see why. SCT is the only real programmer. Banks and Bullydog are just "computer foolers"

I think I'm gunna go withe the sct w livewire because I've heard about problems with the bluetooth on the touch screen not connecting or staying connected...

Also I'm getting rdy to do an egr delte for my other 6.0 and am gunna do an sct in it for pullin cattle around my ranch so my question is will I need a custom tune to get rid of the codes it will through or will the sct w livewire handle it all on its own (sct is very new to me)

yea you will have to talk to Eric about that, im pretty sure he has a towing tune that has an "EGR delete" included to get rid of the codes that pop up

Getting an SCT without the custom tunes is a waste. When you order it from Eric you can get three custom tunes for free, though if you get an extreme tune it's an $80 upgrade. (do it anyways).

All of his custom tunes turn the EGR valve function off, but as long as it's still on the truck (the EGR valve) it can still open on it's own. The only permanent solution is to take it off the truck.

Definitely get the custom tunes though.
