The stock SCT isn't a total waste but the Custom Tunes run much much better.

Remember he has a D-max. Banks is a GREAT way to go. I have the 6-gun now and LOVE it. Yes, it's not a programmer, but it is it's own computer. It doesn't touch the factory ECM yet gives you an amazing amount of Tranny safe power without killing your engine.
The SCT for the 6.0's, sure. They need more help to get the numbers up. When you say, "Goto the Powerstroke Forums" that should tell you it may not be the best thing for the D-max
If you want custom tunes, go with EFI LIVE. Get you a DSP5 switch and 5 custom tunes. It can be whatever you want, when you want it.

OOPS, my fault guys, trying to learn the new site. My appologies. Thought he was talking about an 06, DMAX. LOL. My Badd. Carry on. . .

From what I understand it's no different than running an Edge or Banks or any other product at that point.

Obviously it's not a total waste because you can always put custom tunes on it, without having to sell it and buy a different setup.

I got a chance to play with the IQ down at the PRI show this year. After talking with the tech that built it, I will have one, but it will be to run my other programmers, nitrous, water. It is going to be able to control everything, and watch a movie to dont really need that last one.

It can control that stuff... when they come out with it. As of right now they're not offering any nitrous setups, or water setups. It was my understanding it's only going to work with their stuff too.

It seems too little too late. If they can actually do the custom tuning with it, then it's a huge step in the right direction. It's fancy looking, that's for sure. A few of the computer geeks on other sites were saying the OS was junk. I dont know myself though, just passing the word along.

Even the stock SCT tunes help alot with the transmission shifting. Mine would Flare shift while running the Edeg Juice.
