Default TST PowermaxCR with R49

I'm planning on stacking the TST with Smarty, and I think I've decided to buy the TST first since I can use the R49 for gauges. This would avoid spending a few hundred dollars on parts that don't add any functionality to the truck (my method of thinking anyway). Anyone run the TST? I've read lots of good things especially when stacked with the Smarty, but that's a transmission replacement down the road.

That is easy more power and it is faster to change your power settings. Plus if I have someone else driving my truck it is nice I don't have to worry about the egt's getting to hot.

Only reason I am keeping the smarty is it is the only way I can adjust my speedo

I have ran the TST since 2004, I had #9 to come off the line.

Main reason I have not switched is because I like the on the fly adjustability, as well as I can retain my stock ECM program.

The TST and Smarty is an incredible stack....You just have to make sure you run an even number smarty tune with NO TIMING!!!!!! The cool thing about the early CR's is that you can stack three chips. You can have the smarty running your DURATION, an MP8 or EZ running your pressure, and you can have the TST running your timing! Pretty awesome huh?

Just gotta be incredibly careful and you better make sure you have the mods to support it them....

I never knew you could do that. What kind of supporting mods are we talking about? What kind of power would the 3-stack setup make?

Well...It would give u peak power for sure. But you need to do a few things before you go and stack three chips....If you stack two you need at least a lift pump and then your stock CP3 is on limited life unless you get a Arson III kit.... You also need to be running more air as well.

Just make sure that whatever you do you do it right and safely. I would wait for some time before you run three chips but it is possible to do it....
