Does anyone have problems with their 6.9L leaking a little bit here and there? Every time I park something small seems to leak. Nothing major though. Just wondering if this is typical for those old diesel's and is it of much concern?

 

what is leaking? motor oil? coolant? trans?

motor oil isnt to bad to fix, probly oil cooler, rear main or valve covers.

coolant should be fixed right away. could be any gasket, radiator, water pump, heater or hoses

trans is ok as long is u check it. if automatic, fix sooner.

 

It's leaking a little bit of motor oil, a tiny bit of transmission fluid (4 speed). And a little bit of coolant towards the radiator. It was leaking coolant from the radiator hose, but the hose was loose. I fixed that. I don't think my valve covers are leaking so it's probably the oil cooler. As for the tranny, it has a minor leak on the oil pan right underneath the valve body.
I'm not sure where the coolant is leaking from now, but I know it is on the left side right near the drain plug.

 

mine ebgine always seem to be covered in grease and oil but i have never seen it leak somtimes with old dieseal you just pray and hope
