Trans off a V10 96' fit on a Cummins 96' ?

would this be a direct fit ?

It will work they have the same bell housing, I think you would need to change the torque converter but not 100% sure on that

is it auto or 5 speed a fella told me that the trannys from a V10 and a cummins are interchangeable like sneed1rr said the torque converter would have to be a little heavier

it's a Auto... that's what i thought.... so i'll just use the converter off of the 5.9 CTD

ive also heard the planetarys are heavy along with several other components on the diesel trannys. and the shift points are lower for the diesel due to the lower rpm operating range. but dont quote me on that. just something to look into
