Default Ford 6L egr valve disconnect

I disconnected the egr valve by pulling the electrical plug.
Didn't get any chech engine light but the shift point for the transmision shift
went up by at least 500 RPM. This is in the tow/haul possision.
Shifts normal out of tow/haul.

ANY SUGESTIONS?

Are you running a tuner? Because you can get a tune that will shut off the egr valve and not have a problem with it again. But I used to do what you are doing and never noticed a higher shift point

The TH button will cause your shift points to be higher normally. Are you saying that it's shifting at 500 higher than before when using TH?

It's supposed to shift at a higher point when in TH. It makes it so that it holds the gear longer when towing.
