how much fuel pressure should a lift pump have on 86 model 6.9

 

Ford diesel 6.9 7.3 IDI i read some info from this site and said 60 to 120 psi thought you might like it to check it out for yourself good luck and hope its the info you need

 

There tends to be a bit of confusion reagrding pumps on these trucks. When you say lift pump, I think of the fuel pump on the side of the block which only puts out about 5psi. The injection pump on top of the motor that is fed by the lift pump puts out more, most likely the numbers mentioned above.
