Default runs.. then dies.. then runs fine

ok my truck has done this a few times.. it will start, smoke white and kinda make a popping sound clear up like there was just some air in the lines... then about 1 min of driving down the road it will bog down and die... it seems like its not getting fuel... so i will try and start it again on and off for about 30 seconds... and after that it will fire up and smoke white again, then it clears up and drives, runs fine.... and it doesnt always bog down and die... i was thinkin fuel leak and then when the trucks off air gets into the lines causing it to die? idk the area around the injectors is wet with diesel... not alot but enough to show up... help!

so i just went out and looked at the truck, all the fuel lines look dry and not rotted... ive also never found drips of diesel under the truck.... so i guess it has to be the lift pump... what brand lift pump should i get? ive herd the oem's are junk and dont last long... i dont want to have to drop the tank after this so id like to get a good one.. either fass or airdog i was thinkin...

They are both good systems! I have the FASS and love the way it works. Don't like the price of the filters......Oh well its a once every six months to a year thing.

They're pretty straight forward. Install the same way you took it apart.
