hey guys i was wondering if any ove you have had any experience with being a civilan contractor for the government, i was thinking about going to iraq or something like that its full benifits, 401k, and up to 82k is untaxed and i can make up to 90k a year. was wondering if any one has ever doen this before it seems like a good deal to get all my school payed off and all my debts setteld. they pay fro all living expenses so i can come back and have a good chunk of money in my bank account which would be awsome

I've never done it but I worked with them and did the same job for a whole lot less, that's a fact. It's not fun work by any means and you will work for a livin. But the life is pretty good and the money is great. All your gonna hear about is the dangers that go along with it. Some of that is fact but most is fiction. If you look at the numbers of civilian contractors in theater over there and the number of them killed or wounded the odds are not much different then right here.

I suggested this same idea to my own son. He wanted to join the military when he graduates from college. I told him he's nuts, to do that. With this if your over there for a few months and decide it's not for you, you quit and come home. When your in uniform nobody cares if you like it there, that is your home.
