Alrighty boys. Time for me to ask before I start buying parts.

In the next year or so I will be in the market to start upgrading my '97 F250 PSD with the auto tranny behind it.

List of possible upgrades:

TW Chip
Guages = pyro, boost, tranny temp
Turbo back exhaust
SD HPOP or Adrenaline HPOP
Intake
Stage 1's


The question(s) I have reguarding these upgrade is/are; Will putting doing the HPOP upgrade hurt my engine if its done alone? What are some other upgrades I should do to the engine/tranny combo to make them last?

What are your suggestions?

 

hpop alone is a great upgrade

 

Doing the HPOP will only help you, as for other upgrades, intercooler and trans work would both be a good idea

 

what kind of differences would u notice by just putting a 17* hpop on with stock injectors? would it even be worth the work?

 

sounds like a great start, that is about what i had on my old powerstroke and it worked fantastic, i didn't do the hpop and it was my next planned mod, but i sold the truck first.

having extra high pressure oil won't hurt anything and it is supposed to smooth out the idle and get better atomization of the fuel.

i would include an intercooler or water/meth to that list of mods tho, i ran a cooling mist system and ran straight water to keep my egts in check when towing.
