Do I have to remove stock lift pump from the fuel tank when installing Air Dog

No - but you will need one of the DrawStraw products:

I think just about everyone uses the draw straw method. The high flow fuel module is relatively new, IIRC. But supposed to help with the 1/4 tank issues that many are plagued with.
