Default not sure what is going on

ok i have a 94 chevy tahoe with a 6.5 turbo diesel in it....... when i bought it, it would cut out so i replaced the pmd and that fixed the problem a year later its doing it again. but it doesnt matter if its cold or hot . like today i started it and 2 min. later she shuts off. starts right back up... last week i took my kids to school it ran for about 20min. shut off, restarted made it 20feet and shutt off again, would not start for 30min. any ideas.... somtimes it will stumble on its self like its running out of fuel and than catches its self and stays running and somtimes just shuts off.... i can pretty much tell when its getting ready to because i wont have all my power....... any ideas. maybe fuel shut off solenoid. and is there a way i can test the pmd or fuel shut off solenoid im thinkn its the pmd because i bought a used one last year and it worked but i didnt install a cooler when i did it.... .please help its my only rig and my wife is about to pop(shes pregnant) and we have to drive 1 hour away to the doc...... also if anybody has a pmd that works laying around and would let me barrow it to see if it helps i will send it back or buy it from you..........

The 6.2 and 6.5 engines are bad about plugging the return valve in the IP. If this happens it will give these exact symptoms. Pull the return line off the IP and remove the fitting. It has a glass check ball in it. If you can clean it and if it runs better that is the problem. Some of the IP's for that engine had a plastic governor drive in it that decays over time and breaks. When this happens the trash plugs the return valve. A quick fix in an emergency is to take a punch and break the ball out of it but if you are in a cold climate it will mess with the cold start advance and make it harder starting and run rough cold. You might want to think about having the IP rebuilt and make sure they put the stainless governor drive in.

Do the dash lights(check engine and such) come on when you turn the key off and back on after it dies? My ol 95 acted like a PMD failure but was just the igition[sic] harness shorting out. Around $100 at autoz**e for a new one. Just an idea. I jeri-rigged mine for 2 weeks with 4 zip ties till I had the money to fix. Hope this can help.

I have a brand new driver for sale.
It was purchased for a 2000 Savana 1 ton van, however that fell through.

Part # is 19209057 Original cost was $509.09

This is the updated driver, from what I understand it fits a wide range of 6.5 diesels, just swap the calibrating resistor and you are good to go.

I am looking to get $150 shipped for this unit.
Once again it is a brand new driver, gasket and new retaining bolts, only been opened to look at contents of package.

$150 shipped
PM me or email me at koolkevv16@hotmail.com

Just call a chevy dealer and make sure that fits your truck.

Also congrats on the baby!
