exhaust brake question
#2
I'm running a PacBrake with my 5". The Pacbrake replaces the 4" cast elbow that comes right off of the turbo so the never changes. The 5" downpipe connects at the elbow using a 4" reducer. Now, if you have gotten rid of the cast elbow and just have a 5" downpipe right off of the turbo then you will need a 5" inline exhaust brake.

6.7s use a variable vane turbo for the exhaust brake. It's a post-turbo add-on for the 5.9s. Dodge offered the factory or dealer-installed option of a vacuum-operated Jacobs on the later 5.9s, starting around 2005 or thereabouts, IIRC.
I want one of those PXRBs for the '07. Very nice feature to have when towing. I hear the Pacbrake PXRBs are quite effective.
