Ok so im some what new to the site but i need a little help! me and my buddy did a turbo and injector nozzels on his 08 lmm d max.. hes runing a 68mm cheta turbo and honed out nozzles to 60 %... we got the truck all back togeather went to fire her up and had some problems.. first problem is he is only building about 34 psi at the fuel rail at start up when he normally builds about 1300.. so after finally getting it fired it runs real rough and blows alot of whitish gray smoke.. i mean like alot of smoke... a couple of people said it could be something wrong with the injectors but i just want a couple more opinions...any info will help thanks alot!!!

 

Is he running a fuel pump??

 

yes he has an air dog fuel system.

Sounds like a bad injector, Is there fuel in the oil at this point?
What type of smoke, does it burn your eyes?

 

No fuel in the oil and the smoke doesen burn ur eyes and it doesent smell like raw fuel either Im puzzled

Hmmm , Maybe an injector bore leaking coolant

 

how long has it run like this? has it had time to clear allthe air in the lines yet ?? will it rev up and if so, is it smooth at higher rpm ???

 

we had it runing forabout 5 minuts and bled all the air out of the ines so we kinda rulled that out... when u go to idel it up it basically falls on its face n rolles even more smoke it also backfired a couple times out of his cold air intake witha huge plume of thi whitish gray smoke??

 

Coolant level ok??
