I got a 1991 Ford F-250 7.3liter IH and I just want it to throw a little blacksmoke just for show and I wanna do it cheap. Any ideas? Thanks

 

Get a pyrometer and turn up your injection pump.

 

I had the same question kinda, i have an 86 ford 6.9 with a banks turbo and 3 " exhaust,the motor only has 143,000 on it and the injection pump is turned all the way up and it only puts out a little black smoke if i take off in second gear and its only a puff....was just wondering if there was any way to make it smoke a little more? i don't want to black out roadways or anything i would just like a little more.

No i've only had the truck for a little over a month, the guy i bought it from replaced the motor and used it to tow his 5th wheel. It has plenty of power, is there somewhere on them i can look to see what code they are?? Thanks

 

i belive it is stamped on one of the flats around the top.

a, aa, b, bb, c, d, , e, f, g.

g are the turbo injectors from 94 idi factory turbo. with them u should get a turbo injection pump also ,but u can still use stock pump with little bigger injectors.

 

Why the hell do yall want smoke? Smoke=wasted fuel! Go for power! Not for Smoke! The EPA is already on our azz's for our diesels and puttin more smoke out there is guna make it worse for all of us.

 

the code on them is BB, i mainly asked because my friend has the same truck with the same turbo and exhaust and he turned his pump up less than mine is and his smokes a decent amount, i'm assuming its just cuz mines burning all the fuel, but i would like it to smoke a little more.
