Pull your a-pillar off and see if there is a connection to hook up clearance lamps.

I dont have chicken lights. That would just make the lights go on or off. I was kind of hoping to get them to dim when turned on, but that would mean they would be on all the time. hmmmmm

I guess I wil just have to have them on. Hopefully they arent to bright.

Tie the 12v power wire to the wire going from your dimmer to the factory gauges. Thats what i did on my 95.

You can also use a fuse tap on the gauge cluster fuse. thats how my first set of gauges were wired on my 97

yeah I think I will try that. I may put a power switch in line with it so the lights on the gauges arent on all the time while driving

I hookd mine up to the dimmer switch so that when i turned on the headlights the gauge lights came on and I could also dem the gauge lights. If im not mistaken there is a orange wire coming out of the fuse box for the dimmer switch.

Hooked mine to the dimmer. I believe it was an orange wire with brown trace. We both 04.5's so yours should be the same.

It is on the back of the headlight switch. You can see where the hanress plugs into the back of the dimmer wheel. The wire is an orange with a brown trace. You can test it with a test light. When you dim the wheel the test light will dim too.
