Ok so the tanker i drive is a 95 fl112! im thinking it has a 3406! not positive cause i couldnt see the tag on top of motor! wore off! it has a lil over 700,000 miles! strong truck! problem im having is with the jake brake! you have the 2 cyl and the 4 cyl switches! the 2 cyl works! but the 4 cyl only seems like 2 cyl are working! every once in a blue moon the all work and darn it will hold it back! but once ya cut it off and the engine cools totally down all the jakes wont work! idk not good at this stuff but would like 4 it to work! thanks

 

first i would suspect the switch, easy first...but once you said it stops working after it cools all the way down it wont work at all, that is odd...ill have to think about CAT again its been only Cummins now at work for 2 years

 

Good opportunity to pull the valve covers and manually actuate the Jakes.

 

Ok so just pull the cover off! what do i look 4 once i get it off? how to manually acuate them? jw! have 2 step me thru this!
