I'm tired of bumming from friends, While they don't mind I had a bad experience with 3 tires and a axle on the last trailer I borrowed. I made it right (bought three tires and a wheel for a spare for the trailer) but I still felt bad. I hate when I bust other peoples stuff, even when its not my fault.

Anyway, I've been looking and I kinda know what I want. 20'-24', gotta be wide to fit the pulling truck, not sure if I want bumper pull or goose though. I'll have around 8,000lbs on the trailer most of the time pulling it.

This is the last trailer I used, pulled great nice and low. 12k trailer I liked it but the Idea of having a deck over for the extra width sounds nice to me. this was a 20' Deck with a 2' Dove


I've used this trailer before also. Little shorter at only 18' Deck and 3' Dove but the width is nice. Found a new one locally for $4,900. Its a Hudson Which I hear are pretty nice. It is defiantly built strong, heavy as **** too!


Been looking on line and found some others I like.

This is a good looking Goose. Not sure if I like the ramp or not. I kinda like those flip up ones with the center section that pops up to make it one long flat deck.

go with a goose neck look at the big tex or application the goose handle a lot better than a bumper hitch trust me

 

I know the goose handles better but really never had a probem with teh bumper pull. And if someone needs to borrow the trailer it kinda limits them with teh goose...

 

And Chad I see you in this thread.... Say something about it being in teh wrong section and I'll slap you....

dont waste your time with nick right up the road from you have seen to much junk that they make. they dont use enough cross supports and a low grade steel that bends easy

 

You talking about the dude right here at woods cross roads? I looked at one of his a while back and was like... wow... thats a heavy *** trailer... then I relized all teh beef was in the wrong damn spot.

yea we had him make one a few years back and it was junk and woody had 2 made one for the 6800 pulling truck and one for his sons mud truck and they both are bent from the weight and neither one has been overloaded
