turbo as muffler??
well, i know it is in Texas, but, you are supposed to "legally" have on any muffler and/or turbo on the truck that it came from the factory with....
i've had my exhaust cut off right under the cab for almost a year now, gonna get an Expandit five inch TBE one day......

PA considers a turbo as a muffler
, at most garages. some cranky ricer mechan. will fight you on it, but its usually up to the shop owner/manager to make the final call, and if you are payin the bill he will side with you

read the laws. most laws state that a muffler must be installed, but if you read the definition of "muffler" most of the time the law states that a muffler is "a restriction in the exhaust system meant to reduce noise"
so take it as you will.... it all depends on who is enforcing the law.....
