Default Boost Fooler?

Can some body please explain the benefits of a boost fooler to me and if it would be good for me? I do quite a bit of towing but also do some highway without a trailer.Little confused here.

Don't know squat about the Banks six gun but I think it's a fueling system, which if I'm right probably is already acting as the boost fooler so an additional fooler will do you no good.

A boost fooler very simply put mind you....intercepts the MAP signal and delivers a signal to your engine computer that is higher than the actual level. More boost=more fuel.
The fooler causes your computer to signal more fuel sooner than stock levels allow. Units like the Edge I run on my '01 also mess with the injection timing as well as the fueling curve. Personally, I see better fuel mileage from running the Edge than stock. However, if you tow, it can lead to way too high EGT's. so you better watch your pyro on the truck if you don't want to burn it up. Just my .02!
The fuel mileage gain also comes in part from your driving habits. A good rule of thumb is to treat the diesel petal like it is a raw egg.....mash too hard and splat!
