DTT
Does anyone have any experience with DTT transmission parts? I can get a good deal on a DTT triple disk and valvebody and Im wondering if I should pull the trigger. The truck is a 98 12valve auto 4x4. The mods that will be coming after the trans work is a 4in exhaust, S&B intake, 3gsk, and a 10plate. A triple disk should be able to support that no problem right?
DTT makes great transmissions and parts. They have had triple discs for a while now. The main thing to keep in mind is that a triple disc is very heavy. When upgrading the torque converter make sure you upgrade the input shaft and flex plate as well
Is that really necesary on a mostly stock truck? I wont be hot rodding it or anything like that, its just a daily driver with some towing for work.
Thanks for the heads up! The truck is mostly stock for now and the only mods it will see for the next couple years will be an exhaust, intake, fuel plate, and maybe some injectors and a new turbo. Will the single disk be ok for supporting that? After that when the mods start to get more extreme Im going to get a built trans.
