Diesel ATV's
Has anyone had any experience with a diesel powered ATV such as Artic Cat? If so what was your impression? Is it reliable over time? Also does anyone know of any other manufacturers who put diesels in their quads?

The Arctic Cat Diesel Quad is a BEAST! Its not very good in the mud, and not fast.. but its very Reliable.. And HEAVY! A good friend of mine has two and he loves them.
Polaris made one many years ago that was diesel powered, but I think they only made theirs for 2 yrs since it was a P.O.S.
Before getting the diesel ATV, what are your plans for the quad? joy riding? work? mudding? all of these are important subjects to think about before commiting to one of the high torque quads that are diesel powered.

Good to hear its not good in the mud. I do mostly trail riding but occasionally find a good mud hole to try out. I got a Honda Rancher and Yamaha Grizzly that are good bikes but was curious about a diesel quad. I bet there good for farm work.
