Default newbie looking at a new 6.7

hello everyone....

I'm a new Bomber, but not to forums, or diesel trucks....

Former Cummins owner back in 04, currently driving a 05 LLY duramax. had a 02 duramax before the cummins, and a 7.3 PSD before that one back in 00.

Looking at all my options now as I have driven them all.... I had several problems with my 05 dmax... in fact, its in the shop right now @ 72,000 miles getting a starter, both front wheel bearings, sheering shaft, ignition switch, tranny pan gasket, maybe a torque converter and flex plate too.

I would look into a new dodge, only in a 6 spd manual tho. What do I need to know about them? with the obvious DPF/Cat delete, and 5"... what are the most popular mods our there for the 6.7??

Please take a minute and let me know your thoughts.

Thanks a lot!

Jess

i had my truck for about a year with only an intake and ts mp-8 box and i have to say the truck was slow and had no towing power compared to other cummins. i recently installed the h&s xrt,QZ boost fooler, dpf and egr delete, south bend double disk, and 6" mitre cut and i fell in love with the 6.7. it sounds spectacular and runs great. it boosts quick thanks to the vgt and holds 40# of boost at full throttle. not a whole lot of smoke and big torque, what more can you ask for out of a street truck!!!!!!

You can get a H&S XRT Programmer and an Expandit 5" Turbo Back Kit and you wont have to worry about the POS DPF.

i hotshot with my 6.7 and i love it. the exhaust brake is absolutely i life saver if you are driving in city traffic. it doesnt quite have the low end torque that my old 5.9 but once you get it rolling you aint got no problems. i haul 20,000 lbs. pretty regular. 80 mph is no problem at all. i dont have any mods yet, completely stock, i wouldnt drive anything else, specially in my line of work. the goat is the way to go.

Man I run a hot shot truck also and I love my 6.7 cummins. My last truck was the 6.6LMM duramax and the cummins will out pull the duramax. The cummins even gets better fuel milage. Now I have done a few things to it like Bullydog PMT and dpf delete.
