I'm assumeing when the wires shorted out on each other the ecm most likly got fried along with said wires. A trip to the dealer would sort it out real quick... Welcome to DieselBomers as well.

That is what i thought also but there are no codes and i should of mentioned that it will run but i have to give it a little starting fluid(yes i know that isn't good). i have no fuel coming out of the pump to the injectors and good fuel coming into pump.

ok i have some more info. i took the plunger out of the fuel cutoff valve and pulled the of the pump off can move quantity adjuster and it will start up. Is this a pump problem or a wiring problem?

If the car ran b4 the fire I'm still gonna go with wires. But get a multimeter and see if there is power going to the solinoid to activate the plunger to open. Could still be ecm which I guessing would control the shut off valve.

Those cars are notorious for bad ignition switches, I would replace it and go from there. Also, on the firewall is a large fuse, more like a flat piece of pot metal, that's probably cooked as well.
