Default Blower motor is weak?

Does anyone know the most likely cause of an A/C blower not blowing very much air?

It works at all speed settings (poorly).

I would think that the motor itself would just not work at all if it was bad.

Tried to find a cab air filter, but did not see one. Should be just above passangers feet right?

Is there any way to test the motor or the resistor?

Need to get this fixed before this Phoenix summer hits! THANKS.

Could be a blend door issue.

Default not the motor

I pulled the blower motor and jumped it straight off the battery. It almost flew away!

I do have a lot of crud built up on the evaporator.

Anybody know if that can be cleaned while still in the truck? Looks like a pain in the butt to get out.

Default I wish it WAS just the blower motor.

How big of a pain is the evap core to change?
The Haynes manual makes it look pretty easy... But...?
Fletchers wants $260 plus the part...
I know someone who can recharge the system for me if I do it myself.

Also, what else might I consider changing while I'm in there?

Default blower motor

It doesn't always work, but on a few cases i have had success removing the blower motor and blow compressed air backwards through the heater core via a duct close by such as the floor outlet, etc and then vacuuming out the debris. the coils typically get clogged with the dust and debris blown by the blower motor. i have to do mine too, but haven't had time to do it yet. Waiting for warmer weather.

I've done this on a few chevy before not on a ford yet but it works most of the time I've sprayed brake clean along with shop air. wortha shot before doing all the work to pull the evap.
