Default Mini-truckin - diesel style

I don't know If I posted on here before, but I'm gettin shack-wacky and miss my truck (in storage for the winter), so here's a few pics. The engine is from a 1995 Passat and has ALL the mods.

Right now, the new engine is tight and the boost is turned way down (9 psi). I've been getting about 52 mpg Canadian. I'll be looking for 65 mpg on synthetic oil, intercooled....IF I keep out of the smoke pedal.

Well, I just got finished with stage 2, a complete and total body restoration. Last year was spent sorting the engine and transmission and I've got that about done for now. I'm presently running 20psi, and couldn't be happier. She pulls like a freight train and still gives me 60 mpg (Cdn) when I stay out of the smoke pedal.

So you have the 1.9L 75hp engine?
This engine is good up to 125hp. Above that hp you can prepare to change the headgasket every three months.

Don't know if I told you already.
Try an intercooler from the Mercedes Sprinter. Its a direct fit- with using the maximum available space you have and pretty able to hold up to 30 psi. Even the price is a steal ...90€

I have the perfect rims for you: Mattig Sport steel in 7x13 ET20 They were extremely popular with the VW Caddy in germany.

Hey Deezel, got any pics of those wheels?

As for the engine, 150 hp is easy and never changed a head gasket yet. You must be doing something wrong.
