hey gunman if your not having any problems with it do let them reprogram - mine was the best truck I ever owned until they reprogramed it the first time - they have tried SEVERAL new ones since then and none have fixed it - when I got mine it never said "Cleaning Exhaust Filter" at all in the first 30,000 miles - they reprogrammed it and said that the original program would not allow it to show that - showing it had nothing to do with the price of eggs but after is when it started running like **** - they call me every three or four weeks saying "We got another one to try, bring it back up" - I'm tired of bein the sucker here

I don't see that reprogramming will get you any better fuel mileage - yours is getting about average for the '08s - big-angry-hillbilly says his is getting better than that but he is the only one - hopefully he can give you good advice

I get good economy mainly based on driving habits, REALLY good fuel, additives, and a bit of a tuning issue.

I've got some fuel trim issues and need to replace a couple injectors...I'm only averaging 18-19mpg a tank right now.

What do you consider a bit of a tuning issue?

You know, a tuning 'issue' I plan on switching to a spartan tuner with the DPF delete after tax time.

Sunoco Gold diesel fuel, PM-17-A and PM-17-B fuel additives.

Plus I drive under 60mph most of the time, as well as have very few stops on my commute.
