i did some measuring and found out it was goin to take too much to put a cat in my 1968 chevy c50. so i was wondering what i should use. maybe a old 6.2 or 6.5, a first gen cummins, a 8.2 out of a big truck, or if someone else has a idea please tell(no powerjokes or duramaxs)

 

I would go with a 12v Cummins with the p-7100 injector pump. there aint no better engine to do a swap then that


I think you want to stay with an engine that is already made for a pickup it will be alot easier of an install and you wont have to worry about cutting the firewall or notching crossmember to make em fit

 

HI sootman, WHY the 6.2 or 6.5 ??? You know that those engines will only give you problems, and they don't have much TORQUE, GM made they for gas mileage.

 

What Cat were you going to put in it? 3208, 3306 or 3304
