Default BHAF

I've been reading this site for a few months (in the background for the most part) and i have learned a great deal of valuable info from the the people that ask questions and give feedback on here and i have a question to throw out there. If BHAF= Big Honkin Air Filter then what exactly is this? Is it a certain type of air filter? Or is there a specific part number? i have the Banks stinger plus on my truck and very much wish i would've listened to you guys and did my own fuel plate and the rest of the free (cheaper) mods.
Well from reading the info on here i decided to mess with it a little bit and slid the AFC and the (banks ) fuel plate full forward (fuel plate minus 1/16th) and gained additional power from doing this but of course EGT's went up not anything crazy but they did go up. Will changing this Banks air filter to the BHAF do me any good with the higher EGT's. Any help appreciated!

yes this will help you with EGT's, here is a previous post that talks about it, scroll down thru the first part of it and DM has all the part numbers for the BHAF at different sellers

i had the normal paper bhaf and tossed it in the trash. i went out and found a K&N that was the same size and my egt's dropped about 50*, oh and it was cheaper.

I found that too. I run an aFe filter and it was about fifteen
bucks more than a BHAF and I don't have to throw it away.
So I saved money the first time it got dirty, 'cause I washed it.
I did have to buy an adapter to step down from 5" to 4".
I didn't notice any egt difference though, just more whistle.
