What's everyone know about MB wheels? I'm thinking about picking up a set but haven't heard a ton about them. I know they're semi-popular. Are they any good?

I'm looking at these for my rig.

 

Ddon't know anything other than they are cast wheels. They look good though.

<Warning - Inflamatory - No intended offense> Cast wheels aren't as strong as forged wheels, and are subject to explode when loaded heavily. I've personally not seen it happen, but know that it does. Even though the cast wheels are "rated" to carry heavy weights like forged wheels, it's not as safe to run a cast wheel. </inflamatory>

Might I humbly suggest: Procomp Forged Wheels, Billet Specialties, Centerline Forged Wheels?

 

Yeah the cast issue is a concern. I don't believe that I'll ever have them loaded up though. I see a 9000 lb bumper pull camper a very faint possibility and probably not more than once in my truck's lifetime.


Suggest anything you want. That's what threads are for IMO.

 

Yeah, I'm sure it'll be okay. Just wanted to make sure you knew. I've been tempted by MB wheels (and other cast ones) in the past. The price is definately right, and they do look great.
