ok so i decided to swap my open carrier for a dana track loc. I bought a new carrier and install kit. it is a chrysler 9.25 with 355 gears. I had to use the bolts to hammer the old ring gear off the open carrier. but when i went to put it onto the new one it just slid on freely. I was even able to turn it by hand to line up the bolt holes. well that was friday and with the storm coming on saturday I couldn't wait because i needed it for plowing so i put it in anyway. Test drove it and it seems fine . no howling at all and it runs cool. but now im worried that because i didn't have to heat and press the ring gear on its just the bolts holding it in place its going to slip . Any one think thats going to be a problem ?
