Default 24v Won't Start!

Hello Everybody,
This is my first post, but have been reading these forums for some time now after owning 2 24v 2nd gens! My truck (00 2500 24v 6spd) has not been running for a month now, and can't seem to fix the problem. It will start with the VP44 hotwired, and I have followed all of the procedures provided by Blue Chip Diesel.
I started doing body work on my truck (swapped complete doors, hood, bumper, bed, fenders, ect.), and once I was finally done, I tried to start my truck up and it started right up and then died after 2-3 seconds. It did this for 3 more times and now it will only crank with no start (unless the VP44 is hotwired).
These are the codes that have come up on my Snap-On Solus Edge:
ECM:
P1693
P1694

PCM:
P1698
P1687

ABS:
21
84 (Mismatched VIN)
23

I have also seen the No Bus message once, but not consistently.

It is also indicating that my ASD relay is "off", but I have swapped the relay and has not made a difference. At this point I am thinking that I have a bad PCM, but am not sure. If so, can I use a 99 PCM and re-flash it? Any help would be most appreciated, I need to get my truck up and running!
Thanks,
mms

Were you able to figure this out? I have a very similar situation were the ECM is not telling the lift and injection pumps to run. If they are hotwired, it will start and idle fine. (There is no throttle response)

Yes, it turned out to be my PCM. If you have access to another 2nd gen VP truck you can swap the pcm's temporary and see if your truck will start . My truck is a 2000 6spd and I used the PCM out of a 2000 auto and it started right up. So I just ordered a new pcm and haven't had any issues since.

I had another truck with nearly the same issue at the same time and that truck's problem was there was a broken wire in the main harness.

I would look at your crank and cam sensors possibly as well. Just out of curiosity let me know what it turns out to be!

Thanks for the information. I will put those at the top of my list for troubleshooting.

Guys, also make sure all of your ground connections are clean(ed). A bad ground can raise havoc and cause you to pull your hair out. Regular cleaning of ground connections should become a part of your service regimen.

It turned out to be an issue with the edge tuner. One of the transceivers on the circuit board fried.
