I have a 1994 12 valve cummins that has no power or smoke and accelerates very slow. I removed my fuel plate and turned up the star wheel and pre boost screw all the way and this made no difference to the power of my truck. The rack inside the pump has full travel. I hooked a fuel gauge up and I have 26 psi at idle and 28 under a load. the afc was removed and pressure tested with an air compressor and it functions properly. I even went as far as running the truck down the road with no afc to see if this made a difference and it did not. Tested the waste gate and it is free and moves fully when i pressurized the boost line. I am only making 10 psi of boost. The truck runs perfect just has no power or smoke. Any ideas on what I should do next?

 

Change your fuel filter

 

Also make sure your shut off solenoid is not binding.

 

The first thing I did was change my fuel filter and clean my pre fuel screener and the fuel shut off is not binding
