How much can my head gasket handle?
Hello there, new to Diesel Bombers. I rebuilt my 12v recently. About 3000 miles on the new motor. New bearings, pistons, Hamilton cam, valve springs, ect. Anyway it was a Saturday and we were putting the head on and they sent the wrong head gasket being a marine one that was thicker. We needed it done and my boss who helped me build as i hadn't rebuilt a diesel before, and i just started working at a diesel shop had me run to Napa and get a HG and said it would be fine. So we put that on along with ARP studs. I'm just going to go with a new t4 nongated sxe and i was wondering if y'all think it will last. I'll be running upwards of 50 psi and don't want to pop the HG. I was told it would be fine by all the guys at the shop but for some reason it's always in the back of my mind. May be because i was always blowing head gaskets on my turbo 4 cylinder cars. So what do you guys think?
