Fuel gauge goes from 3/4 tank to empty. Turned truck off then started. Fuel gauge reads normal. Couple days later going down the road, fuel tank goes from 1/2 tank to pegged full. Did the same thing., pulled over, turned engine off then restarted. Fuel gage back to normal. Fast forward a month, temp gauge pegged hot, warning light started pinging "Check Gauges". Same procedure, off back on, normal for ten minutes the goes to 245 degrees then back to normal. Today, pretty much normal just a couple of times sitting on normal then goes to the right (hot), back to normal. Then fluctuates10 or 15 degrees till I got home and shut it down. Any body got any ideas?

 

sounds like you got a bad ground wire some where.
have you taken the dash apart and see if anything looks burn or lose wires
