48re Gov Pressure
Drained my trans pan and added 5 quarts. Truck was shifting awful so I check dip stick and was low-added more new fluid and my truck is still shifting poorly now at full with fresh 8.5 quarts. I have a worse 1-2-1 shift and when going down the road TC wouldn't lock once (about 55mph)It did the first 2time lock fine but not the third time. I have read gov. Pressure solenoid could be the culprit but would that cause TC not to lock? My trans was shifting well before fluid swap so I am regretting my decision. Will borg Warner solenoid and new transducer potentially fix me or is there more going on? No CEL and trans has about 60k on rebuild.
how did the fluid look? smell bad? Normally fluid wouldn't change anything, Only time I have heard of it causing a problem was when the fluid was changed after the trans had worn clutches and slipping it only gets worse after a fluid change.
I would not think that's the case here, Did you have the filter out?
