Default High fuel pressure on a Common rail

If a person installs a Fass, Airdog, or other aftermarket fuel pump does the Fuel pressure need to be regulated down to a lower pressure for the CP3?

Does the higher pressure cause damage to the FCA or other parts of the CP3 injection pump?

I've got a raptor 150 Air Dog 15 PSI holding up for now but the AD is a failure just waiting for the perfect time! LOL

I hear a lot of bashing on Airdog these days but my AD150 is still going strong after 6 years and over 100,000 miles. I think I will recommend the Airdog 2 to my friend to try because it has a adjustable integral regulator.
