I was wondering if I could convert my 2005 ford f150 from gas to diesel and if I could what would work best?

 

A colleague of mine took a Mercedes turbodiesel (5 or 6 cyl I forget) and auto trans from a car and installed in his 80's fullsize Dodge campervan. It is not a slug by any means.

The hard part of a 2005 F150 will be trying to adapt or abandon all the electronics in it.

 

do it, dont do the om617 do a B series cummins

 

As a 6BT fan myself, I would only put one in a 97+ F150 if it was getting a 1-ton SFA swap too.
