Default Suspension

Hey all,

I have a 05 3500 4x4 not dually that I love. My first dodge and I'm looking to lift it a 2" inches max. Don't want to go crazy cause I do haul construction equipment around sometimes.
There's a million brands. Can anyone recommend a reliable brand that won't give issues nor break wallet. Thanks for the help. MF

Any brand Spacer that is a metal/steel spacer is going to be what you want. HellBent Steel is a popular model as it is priced competitively. I purchased mine off of Amazon to the tune of $50 and haven't had any issues about 10k miles later. I did a 2.5'' leveling kit just in the front and it leveled it nicely. You will want to do aftermarket shocks for sure. I did the Bilstein 5100's (about $300 for 4 at 4wheel parts) all the way around and my ride improved dramatically! You can run 35X12.5x17's no problem with a leveling kit as well if you want to go larger with tires. Enjoy!

STRAPT Performance Off Road Suspension and Diesel Parts is a Thuren dealer.
Thuren offers a 2" super nice riding coil.
Strapt can tell you if longer front shocks would be necessary. i wouldn't think so but that would be the ideal time to add Bilstein 5100's.

Depends on what you want, a leveling kit or suspension system. There is a huge difference between the two.

A suspension system that does front coils, rear mini-pack, adjustable track bar, and sway bar links is optimal for ride and handling. If you have not upgraded the stock steering this is the time to do it, more travel equates to bump steer and other issues with the y-type steering.

A puck to level the front is cheap and effective but doesn't enhance the ride and may tip it over into DW depending on other parts in the system.

You will need shocks or a low profile shock mounts with either choice.
