Ok so I have made plenty of mods to my truck and I am just wondering why I hardley have any black smoke that comes out? What can I do to just get a little bit more ? I know it isnt good and I know that black smoke is unused fuel but I just want a little more then what I have now. I tried putting a smoke switch on but that didnt work it just bogged down my motor and turned the check engine light on. So someone please help?

 

Loose the Superchips programmer and buy a real one?


Why worry about smoke? Build for speed/power and the smoke should come.

 

I know , I really want to get a smarty on it but right now I am getting pretty good power with my superchips programmer..... so you think if I change over to like a smarty I would get some more black smoke? What else is there to do that isnt going to cost me an arm and leg to get more power? I know new injectors and a turbo would get me more but to much dough for me right now!

 

a new turbo won't get you any more smoke.......unless you can't spool it

Can you turn your low boost fueling up to max on your programmer?

 

No I can't do to much with the programmer I have now! FYI: don't waste money on superchips

 

Put your stock air filter back on
Or do a boost launch without the launch.

What is a boost launch? Where do I get one ?

 

Like doing a burnout but don't let the tires spin. Hold brake hard and give it some gas(lots). You'll get a ton of smoke usually depending on how fast your Turbo spools up. Just type diesel boost launch on YouTube. You'll do what they do except take off,unless you want to.
