HELP!!! 2005 turbo oil drain
PLEASE READ COMPLETELY BEFORE SUBMITTING AN ANSWER..........
I have a 2005 Dodge and want to add an aftermarket oil breather to it and need a place to run the drain back to the oil pan.
I did this same thing to my 2000 with huge success as it had a secondary dipstick tube hole in the top of the pan rail (on the bottom of the block), but some "genius" at Cummins had some extra time on his hands in 2003 so he "re-engineered" it on the common rail engines, so there isn't a 2nd dipstick hole on this engine!!!
BUT THERE IS A TURBO DRAIN!!!!
That said I went to our local dealer who couldn't find anything that remotely looked like the 2005's turbo oil drain tube! My turbo drain tube looks like one of those flexible brass "hoses' like you would plumb gas to a clothes drier with, but it is steel, not brass. It appears to just press into the pan rail, but not sure about that.
Question: What is the Dodge part number for this flexible turbo drain tube and how does it come out of the pan rail? The truck is a 2005 Common rail.
Thanks a BUNCH for any help on this.

Are you talking about the oil return line from the turbo? That's what it sounds like you described at least. Puredieselpower.com has em for $40 bucks. Part number 3934084. Link below to confirm that's the part you were talking about (third comment down)
